Ok, so here is my second entry into the Polyform Products, April "make it your own" contest.  These are barrettes.  I used a steampunk theme for them because I have very thick hair and the only way barrettes would stay in it would be if I riveted it and screwed it in. ;p   I was trying for a copper with that aged green patina copper gets.  Not sure if it looks right, but I like the way it turned out.  I hope you all like it and thanks for visiting my corner of the web.

Hey all,

Here are some pictures from a project I am working on.  These cute critters are only a small part of the project.  I won't say what it is, but I will say that it has been fun working on it.  Hopefully I will be done with it in a couple of days. The sizes range from less then half an inch for the ladybug, to 2 inches for the dragonfly.  Hope you like my little friends.

Thanks for visiting my little corner of the web.

Hey all,

I apologize for not getting something up sooner but I was having some health issues.  I am feeling much better now and so I am starting to take the pictures of the things I made this past couple of weeks and will upload them over the next couple of days or so.

This is a pair of sneakers I decorated with Premo.  Every year I get these same sneakers, and every year I decorate them.  I choose something different each time, this year I chose to try polymer clay.  I was inspired by the Polyform Products, April "make it your own" contest.  It was time for me to work on these sneakers anyways, so I decided to combine the projects.  This was my first time using Premo and it was also my first time using the Millefiori technique.  I had never made a cane before, so I decided to keep to a simple flower petal design for my first try.  They came out pretty good.  I learned alot and I think I will be trying more complex canes in the future.  I decided to individually make the leaves instead of trying a cane.  I think the combination worked out well.

Let me know what you think and thanks for visiting my corner of the web.

So I just wanted to let everyone know that I am working on some stuff and should be able to upload a few pictures in the next couple of days.  I was a little slow this week because of some health issues.  I might have a little recovery time this week as well because I am getting a tooth removed this week, but I am almost done with the two projects so I should still be able to put up photos.  Had a busy weekend.  My husband and son helped me go through a bunch of junk in our garage to try to make room for me to have a toaster oven in there for polymer clay baking.  We got it mostly done, however I have some boxes that I need to go through by myself with a paper shredder handy, so it will be at least another week before there is room.  We did however get a whole minivan load of donations for goodwill.  Lots of kids toys and clothing etc.  Can't wait to finish up the garage and make room, we are going to build me a wood table too so I can do all the sanding and drilling and other really messy stuff in the garage.  Once I am done with that, I will post a picture as well of this new workspace.  That will bring up my workspace total to three areas.  I have a painting area, the craft room which I do my claying and sewing in, and this new area for messy stuff. :)  I better make do with those three areas, because we are out of room for me to make more.

Hope everyone is having a good spring, and thanks for visiting my corner of the web.

Hi all,

I have finished another zentangle, (which is the proper name for my doodle designs).  I worked on this one off and on for about three weeks now.  I call this one Organisms.  I am having fun doing this in my down time.  It's very relaxing and I highly recommend it everyone to loosen up and relax.  This zentangle was hand drawn using a Pilot G-2 07 gel ink pen. The sketch pad used was: Strathmore Sketch premium recycled paper 5.5" x 8.5".

I hope you all like it! :)

Take care,

Sharon

I was going through some old pictures of my mother's, looking for a few to put up on our family wall.  I found a couple of photos of paintings I had done that I didn't realize my mother had taken.  My cousin has asked me to post any other pictures of paintings I have done, so here they are.  Hope you like them Steven, and everyone else too!! :)

Stay happy,

Sharon

This painting was done for a friend of the family who requested I paint it like another painting I did for someone else.

This painting was done for someone that helped me through a very rough time in my life.

Hope you all like them. :)
